Rosterminalugol has signed agreements worth €19 mill with MAN-Takraf in Germany for more handling equipment for its new coal terminal at Ust-Luga. The equipment package, including a pipeline system, stacker, traversing crane, aspiration system, magnet trap, samplers and so on, are being acquired under the second stage of the port’s development and is due to be installed by the end of January next year.
Including earlier phase 1 investments, the value of orders received by MAN-Takraf has reached €33 mill. The overall investment in phase 2 could reach US$50.5 mill. According to Rosterminalugol’s director-general Ivan Fischer, the phase 1 terminal, which has the support of a Liebherr harbour mobile crane, has now reached its design capacity of 1 mtpa....
