The south-western Victorian port of Portland looks to be the likely beneficiary of an Astron Mining proposal to develop a A$125 mill mineral sands project in the western region of the state.
Astron’s site is 240km north west of Melbourne and in a geographic area that also includes the A$260 mill Iluka Douglas project near Horsham and Hamilton, which also plans to export through Portland....
