New Tampa terminal

The Tampa Port Authority and Gaetano Cacciatore Inc. have announced the completion of Berth 26 at Port Sutton, Tampa. Operations at the new berth began on 7 December 2006, with the arrival of 20,000t of white cement from Aalborg, Denmark on the Norwegian ship STAR ALABAMA.

Gaetano Cacciatore Inc (GCI) is a subsidiary of Danish cement producer Aalborg Portland A/S. The new terminal at Port Sutton will accommodate 2mt of cement and aggregate materials annually. These and related products, used for a wide variety of building and construction projects, accounted for more than 4.4mt of cargo at the Port of Tampa in fiscal 2006, an increase of 6% over the previous year....
