Following a major rebranding exercise, South Africa’s transport utilities have drawn up a list of the main improvements planned for the country’s transport infrastructure.
Transnet remains the umbrella organisation for all state owned transport assets and all of its subsidiaries have now taken its name. Rail operator Spoornet becomes Transnet Freight Rail, Transwerk becomes Transnet Rail Engineering, the National Ports Authority (NPA) has been renamed the Transnet NPA and South African Port Operations (SAPO) is now Transnet Port Terminals....
