Spain’s biggest stevedoring group, Dragados-SPL, has taken a controlling interest in Valencia-based dry bulk handling terminal TMS. Already a shareholder in the company, Dragados-SPL has acquired 8.75% of the equity previously held by Servimad Valencia, whose own stake is thereby reduced from 31% to 20.75%. The other shareholder, Cesa Stevedoring, continues to hold 28.75% of the total shares.
TMS is upgrading facilities to comply with environmental legislation and this requires investment of €58M. As part of this work, a warehouse is being built with an automatic discharge facility, to prevent dust particles escaping into the air. A second enclosed warehouse is to be built alongside the first and eventually all the storage facilities will be covered....
