MacGregor, part of Finland’s Cargotec materials handling and engineering group, has received an order for two model VST940 Siwertell screw unloaders, each designed to discharge coal at 2200 tph, for Taiwan Power Company’s coalfired power station at Ta-Line.
The Siwertells were selected in preference to traditional bucket unloaders, says MacGregor. “Our system was favoured over a more traditional bucket chain unloader and a bucket wheel unloader,” said Per Karlsson, who runs MacGregor’s bulk division. “It was an international bid and the contract was awarded to us in a hard-won competition....
