Developers of a major new iron ore mine in Australia’s Northern Territory are proposing to barge ore to bulkers in the Gulf of Carpentaria, after ruling out using the AustralAsia Railway.
Western Desert Resources (WDR) and Japanese partner Itochu are developing a 2,300 km2 tenement at Roper Bar, between Ngukurr and Borroloola they believe holds 500 mt of 35-65% grade ore. WDR also has a second resource, Mountain Creek, further north....
