Fly ash relief

UK-based Game Engineering Ltd has been awarded a contract to design, manufacture and supply three PFA (pulverised fly ash) de-aerators with loss in weight control systems to the DPA Electrical power plant in Daqing City, Heilongjiang, China.

In an attempt to utilise excessive amounts of PFA produced in fossil fuel power stations, the Chinese plan to transform fly ash into lightweight aggregate for use in the construction industry. The de-areators will be used to remove air from the fly ash and discharge the product at a measured consistent rate....
