Ventspils mulls coal terminal

Ventspils Commercial Port (Ventspils Tirdzniecibas Osta VTO) in Latvia is considering the construction of a new coal terminal if coal volumes remain stable.

VTO technical director Ilja Sokolovs said during a public discus- sion of the company's application for an extension to its environmental protection licence that the planned capacity of the proposed new terminal would be 5 mta. It is also planned to build a railcar unloading facility at the terminal....
