The Pakistan government has invited bids from the private sector to develop dedicated grain handling and storage facilities and necessary infrastructure at Muhammad bin Qasim port, according to a senior official at the Board of Investment (BOI).
The proposed scheme envisages the development of a dedicated modern food grains handling facility along with metallic or concrete storage silos. Minimum handling/delivery capacity is in the range of 300-500 t/h while minimum storage capacity is 50,000t, or 10 percent of the estimated annual throughput of 500,000t....
