Santander concession

Santander port authority in northern Spain has issued a tender seeking a concessionaire for a new bulk minerals terminal. The eventual award will involve both construction and management of what will be a 63,000 m 2 terminals located on Raos I Quay. Deadline for bids has been set for 13 March 2002, although the contract will specify commencement of commercial operations within 12 months.

The terminal will specialise in loading and discharging bulk vessels, as well as warehousing and storing bulk minerals. All coal at the port will henceforth pass through the terminal, with no rival installation being permitted within the port....
