Coal import tenders

Pakistan Steel Mill (PSM) has floated a tender for freight bids to import 450,000 tonnes of a total of 1 mt of coal imports from Canada and Australia. The successful bidders would ship 200,000 tonnes of coal from Roberts Bank, Canada and 250,000 tonnes from Australia's Hay Point.

Four lines have so far submitted bids- national flag carrier Pakistan National Shipping Corp (PNSC), Tristar Shipping Line, Nobel and Super Shipping. A senior PSM manager said the company was "hopeful of getting lower rates this time."...
