Namura Shipbuilding Co. Ltd has completed and chartered the ore carrier BAO AN to NYK.
The vessel will be used exclusively by Baoshan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd. during the next ten years to transport 2 mtpa of iron ore from Western Australia to China.
At the naming and delivery ceremony, Wang Liqun, assistant of the president of Baosteel, and Hidenori Hono, director, managing corporate officer of NYK, joined guests to celebrate the maiden voyage of the vessel.
