OCI signs fertiliser deal

Egypt's Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) has signed a deal with a subsidiary of Brazil's Group Fertipar for the supply and import of granular urea fertilisers into Brazil.

OCI said that it signed the deal with FITCO Tradecom do Brazil Ltda to develop marketing and sales for its fertilisers in the Brazilian market.

An initial shipment of 30,000t of granular urea from OCI's production facilities in Egypt is already under way.
