Colombian coal demand from Asia drives up Capesize shipping

Self-unloaders consolidate niche role
StandardHamburg shipbuilder J J Sietas has secured an order for a 28,000 dwt self-unloader equipped with a BMH Marine C-conveyor for Jebsens. The vessel, to be named SANDNES, is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2005 and will be similar to STONES, delivered by the same yard earlier this year.
