Oman is not the biggest country in the Middle East but it has a proud and well-established trading tradition. Considerable investments are underway in its main ports – Mina Qaboos (Muscat), Sohar, Salalah and Duqm – to ensure that this continues. A recent report by London-based Business Monitor International highlighted this situation and pointed to a consistent growth in Oman’s trade and port throughput volumes.
