Canpotex opts for Prince Rupert

The Port of Prince Rupert in British Columbia has been selected as the site of a new potash exporting facility by Canada’s Canpotex, a major potash shipper.
The new Canpotex terminal will be built on a 1000-acre greenfield industrial property, with deepwater access, located on Ridley Island, already the site of two dry bulk terminals operated by Prince Rupert Grain and Ridley Terminals, Inc. Rail lines serving these two facilities will be extended to the Canpotex parcel to offer a direct rail connection to the Ca-nadian National mainline.
