Mobile forces sweep forward

Harbour mobile cranes and specially-adapted mobile material handlers are a familiar sight in bulk terminals and their popularity appears to be steadily growing. The tables below speak for themselves.

For the first quarter of this year, Liebherr has reported orders for a total of 16 cranes of which eight are mainly or completely for bulk handling: two LHM 150s (for P&J Carrasco, Spain, and PA Dunkerque, France); an LHM 250 for Kanematsu Corp in Vietnam; three LHM 320s (EP de Skikda, Algérie, TM International Logistics, India and Westerlund Bulk Terminal, Belgium); and two LHM 400s (Qatar Steel, Qatar and South West Port, India).
