The earlier surge in continuous ship unloader (CSU) orders over the past few years was mainly the result of the construction of coal-fired thermal power stations. Public bodies and large utilities tend to be the main users of CSUs, while stevedores and dedicated cargo handling terminals are more likely, though not always, to opt for grab crane discharge.
