Growth in the use of IBCs and FIBCs has brought a corresponding demand for valves to control their discharge. The H-Series Iris Diaphragm Valves (IDV) from Mucon, part of the Kemutec group, is specifically for IBCs. According to Mucon these are lightweight, weather resistant and have a concentric weight distribution. Mucon says that a major selling point is the HSeries’ ability to close around large lumps of material while still preventing the discharge of smaller particles, essential when handling products with a wide particle size distribution.
