Port of Kingstown to boost capacity with new crane

Weserport, the joint venture of Rhenus Group and ArcelorMittal Bremen GmbH, has taken delivery of a new mobile harbour crane for handling general and project cargo at Terminal 1 in the Industriehafen.

Warrenpoint Port in Northern Ireland has this month ordered a Konecranes Gottwald Model 3 mobile harbour crane as part of the port’s 25-year growth plan.

Konecranes has reported its first order from Japan for a Konecranes Gottwald Model 4 mobile harbour crane. The crane, which was ordered via Chikuho Seisakusho Co. Ltd (CS), will be dedicated to bulk handling at Miike Port Logistics’ (MPL) terminal in the Port of Miike. The main cargoes will be coal and coconut husk. It will begin operations at the end of 2018.
