The scope of supply include the design, procurement, manufacturing, supply, construction, supervision to installation, testing and commissioning and staff training for the new equipment.

The handling equipment and services will support the export of bauxite and manganese and the import of clinker.

Bedeschi will supply five conveyor belts totalling 3 km in length, two A-frame type shiploaders of model 50/1400, and one eco-hopper. The two shiploaders and the eco-hopper will be delivered fully erect to the client’s jetty by heavy lift vessel from Bedeschi’s shipyard.

“The project is state-of-the-art for environmental standards – with a dust collection and de-dusting system specifically designed for this application,” the Italian OEM stated.

“All the conveyors are enclosed, including the section where tippers and eco hoppers are in operation. Bedeschi will provide the computerized control system too. All the machines, managed by VFD, are foreseen to be improved to increase the handling capacity of 25%.

“Bedeschi has a proven experience with all kind of raw materials and additives and provides the design, engineering and manufacturing of integrated solutions covering every cement company needs from the quarry extraction to the mill.”
