Bedeschi supplying handling equipment to Oman

Al Sarh Trading Co in Qatar has contracted Italy’s Bedeschi to supply handling equipment to operate at Khatam Malaha in Oman.

The equipment includes three conveyor belts totalling 4.3 km in length and with a capacity to handle 2,000 tph of Gabbro and other materials.

 

The last section of the conveyor is engineered for offshore installation, with self-holding galleries structure installed above pylons.

 

The contract includes a shiploader of luffing and slewing type, with capacity to handle 2,000 tph and designed to load vessels up to 55,000 dwt. The shiploader is installed 2km offshore on a platform. It is designed to work on both side of platform with boom length 30m.
