Bulk transhipper breaks size record in UAE

SAFEEN Group, the marine services arm of Abu Dhabi Ports, has announced that MV HAFEET has been registered as the UAE’s largest ever bulk commercial vessel.

Bulk transhipper breaks size record in UAE

HAFEET is a post-Panamax bulk carrier acquired by SAFFEN to undertake iron ore transhipment operations.

 

The 2006-built vessel was acquired a year ago and has since undergone an extensive conversion for its new duties. The ship will be based at Musaffah and will be tasked with supporting Emirates Steel’s transhipment requirements.
