The new U.S. office will help the company develop its coal, derivatives and petcoke trading business, as well as look for new opportunities in logistics throughout the American continent, it said.

From an operational point of view, the development and co-ordination of activities will be directed by Joseph Kulbeth, who has been nominated CEO of Coeclerici Americas LLC.

Paolo Clerici will be the company chairman and Bill Graybeal, former CEO of Coeclerici Asia, will be deputy chairman.

“We have been working on this project for a long time,” said said Paolo Clerici, chairman and CEO of Coleclerici.

“The USA is still one of the biggest coal producing countries in the world and we are convinced that being active in this market will allow us to expand even further our international activities and be able to follow the market evolution.”
