Nokian acquires Finnish firm Levypyörä Oy

Magna introduces M-RIGID for Rigid Dump trucks
NewsMagna Tyres Group has announced the introduction of a brand new tyre for rigid dump trucks.
The Magna M-RIGID is a radial constructed 27.00R49/33.00R51/40.00R57 earthmover tyre, with an E4 tread pattern, designed for rigid dump trucks that operate in the most demanding off-road conditions.
The company said the new tyre offers the optimal tyre performance and purchase price, resulting in a low cost price per hour.
“The Magna M-RIGID is the solution to achieve a highly efficient mining operation and to increase a site’s profitability,” it stated. “The Magna M-RIGID has massive rigid lug blocks, that offer the traction and durability required in the most severe surface mines.”
The company claimed that the “unique and revolutionary tread pattern design” has four major innovations:
Weight reducing cut outs on the tread blocks and lugs, to reduce heat build-up and improve tyre life.
