Mining boss calls for greater collaboration

The mining industry must reinvent itself and forge new kinds of partnerships with all stakeholders, according to Rio Tinto’s CEO.

In a pre-release copy of a speech to be delivered to the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) in Melbourne today (30 October), Jean-Sébastien Jacques said: “Let’s open our minds to how we re-invent our industry.”
 
He said there was “absolutely no doubt in my mind” that now is a crucial time in the development of the mining industry, and in particular:
