‘Next evolution’ for RAM Revolver CBH system

During a visit to the port, Eddie Mills, senior manager, Americas at RAM Spreaders, said that the installation of the new equipment represented “the next evolution of the containerised bulk handling system (CBH)”.

He explained: “This is the first project to load the containers into a hopper to feed a shiploader direct at 1,500 tph, for the BHP Spence mine.

“This shows how flexible the CBH system is, and integrating with a full bulk terminal. This is an exciting new CBH project, and I wish all the success to Puerto Mejillones.”
