RAM Revolvers in demand in South Africa and Georgia

Following the introduction of containerised bulk handling at South Africa’s Port Elizabeth Container Terminal (PECT), Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) placed a repeat order with RAM Spreaders for four additional RAM Revolvers.

TPT handles large volumes of bulk exports annually at PECT using existing RAM Revolver equipment and the containerised bulk handling process, and the repeat order for four new units is intended to help increase productivity and throughput for the operator’s customer base.

Elsewhere, the Black Sea Region, APM Terminals Poti facility in Georgia recently took delivery of a new RAM Revolver for operation with mobile harbour cranes.

Activity from several local dry bulk customers led to APMT recently adopting a containerised bulk handling system. The use of RAM Revolver allows the port operator to handle bulk materials easily with a simple spreader change.
