Telestack has been established for over 30 years in the materials handling industry from their base in Omagh, Northern Ireland. Telestack specialises in the complete design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of mobile, bulk materials handling conveying systems. The firm has a global proven record in a range of applications including the ports and inland terminals, quarrying/mining, stockyard management, power stations, rail yards and so forth.

Cooper has added the Telestack product to an already impressive portfolio of equipment that includes forklifts, laden and empty container handlers, reach stackers, container movers, translifters, log stackers, material handlers and hydraulic cranes.

Cooper’s intention is for the Telestack range to complement a complete handling supply portfolio. David Cooper, executive director explained: “We have come a long way in the last eight years when our entry into the port-related market was geared around forklift supply only.

“We recognised then of the need to become a complete supplier and embrace an approach to that of a solutions provider which fits well with the consultative approach we have to business.

“Our supply partners are carefully selected over many years. In the case of Telestack we recognise their market-positioning as well as their solutions-led approach to business. In this latter case, we share many similar ideologies and business models.”

Carl Donnelly, international sales manager at Telestack, commented: “The network, relationships and market positioning of Cooper within the ports and other associated sectors is widely regarded and, even in these early stages of our relationship we have identified synergies where we share creative thinking in solving customer’s handling requirements”.

Donnelly concluded: “Cooper’s business model and route to market fits well with Telestack’s strategy, this represents a new dynamic approach and fresh opportunity for both parties.”
