With the order is worth around €100M, the new 5,300 t/day cement clinker production plant will be constructed parallel to the existing line in Jabal Farasan, approximately 150 km north-east of Jeddah. Also supplied by ThyssenKrupp, this cement production line has been in operation since 2009.
This follow-up order shows that our strategy of combining technological competence with a strong presence in growth regions is right,” said Dr Hans Christoph Atzpodien, CEO of ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions.
“It allows us to profit from the expansion of infrastructure and growth in urbanization in many emerging markets. With our engineering expertise we also contribute to managing this growth in a sustainable way.”
ThyssenKrupp is supplying all components for the new cement line in Jabal Farasan, ranging from the raw material preparation system, through the clinker manufacturing process, to the cement loading facility. Commissioning is planned for 2016.
