The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has agreed to pay Rs 95 (US$1.95) per ton of coal handled at the new Ennore Port in southern India, thus ending a seven-month wrangle over wharfage charges. Formal approval of the charge, which may hold for three years, will be sought from the TNEB board at its next meeting.
