Double trouble for South Africa’s Transnet

New doubts over Coega smelter
StandardThe development of the aluminium smelter at the new port of Coega in South Africa has been cast in doubt yet again. The project was originally expected to be constructed by French firm Pechiney but the company’s takeover by Alcan of Canada delayed development by several years.
