Harbour mobile cranes continue to make great strides in the port industry worldwide. Last year was another record year for production, with Gottwald logging orders for a record 76 cranes (including three on a rail-mounted portal), of which 18 (24%) were 4-rope cranes aimed mainly at bulk handling applications. Gottwald recommends the 4-rope grab configuration when bulk handling exceeds about 60% of the crane’s cycles.
