Russia sends first grain from new Baltic terminal
NewsRussia has sent its first 12,000-tonne grain shipment from the new Lugaport terminal in Ust-Luga, aiming to boost exports via the Baltic Sea.
As of late December 2022, Ukraine’s Black Sea ports had handled more than 600 vessels and around 16 Mt of its agricultural products exported to Europe, Asia and Africa over the five months of operation of the so-called GrainCorridor, according to the country’s Ministry of Infrastructure.
