New investment for Kabanga Nickel project

BHP has agreed to invest US$100M in Lifezone Holdings’ Kabanga Nickel project in northwest Tanzania in return for a 17% stake in the project. It also has the option to increase its stake to 60.7% once a feasibility study has been completed. It will be a mine-to-metal project that produces battery grade nickel, copper and cobalt for sale to automotive OEMs and battery manufacturers.
