Diana announces charter agreement with Cargill

Greek shipping major Diana Shipping has announced two new time charter contracts for its Post-Panamax dry bulk vessels, the M/V Polymnia and the M/V Electra.
The Polymnia has been chartered to Reachy Shipping (SGP) Pte. Ltd. The gross charter rate is US$17,500 per day, minus a 5.00% commission paid to third parties, for a period extending from June 8, 2024, to a minimum of August 1, 2025, and a maximum of September 30, 2025. Currently, the m/v Polymnia is chartered to Cobelfret S.A., Luxemburg, at a gross rate of US$15,000 per day.
The 98,704 dwt Post-Panamax dry bulk vessel was built in 2012, and the new charter is anticipated to generate approximately US$7.25 million in gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period.
Additionally, the M/V Electra has been chartered to Aquavita International S.A. The gross charter rate is US$14,000 per day for a period until a minimum of October 15, 2025, and a maximum of December 31, 2025. The charter started on June 3.
The “Electra” is an 81,150 dwt Post-Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2013, and its employment is anticipated to generate approximately US$6.89 million in gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period.
Upon completion of the previously announced sale of the m/v Houston, Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet will consist of 38 dry bulk vessels.
