Saudi rail project back on track

As Bulk Materials International was going to press the Saudi government was preparing to release requests for proposals (RFPs) for the feasibility study into the US$1,500 mill, 1,200 km north-south minerals railway project linking Al-Jalamid in the far north to Riyadh. Here it will connect to an existing rail link to Dammam, also passing close to the Al-Zabirah bauxite mine, which is situated near Hail, north of Riyadh.
