NTPC to move coal through India’s inland waterways

India’s state-run power company NTPC has signed an agreement with Inland Water Authority of India (IWAI) and Jindal ITF for the transportation of coal from India’s east coast to NTPC’s 2100 MW power plant located at Farakka, West Bengal, through the country’s inland waterways.
