FLSmidth wins US$48M contract

FLSmidth has won a contract worth approximately US$63M (approximately DKK 369M) from the Kazakhstani company, Kazakhmys PLC, to design a copper concentrator and supply all the process technology for a plant to be built at their Bozshakol copper mine in Kazakhstan, 220 km north of the capital Astana.

For a region without a strong bulk handling tradition, the Nordic countries are host to a disproportionate number of major manufacturers in the sector. With a reputation for high-tech innovation, their reach extends to some of the most important bulk infrastructure projects currently underway.
