Coal cargo hazards: Mitigating risks for safe transport
NewsCoal cargoes may release toxic gases, including carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and nitrogen oxides (NOx), which are harmful to human health.
The UK Port of Tyne is to undertake a £10M investment programme to extend its bulk cargo handling facilities, mainly to cater for growing coal imports. It will take 12 months to implement starting this April .
