San Pedro seeks to compete

The port of San Pedro in Côte d’Ivoire is seeking to boost its cocoa exports by reducing port charges for high bulk exporters. Some of the biggest cocoa companies in the country have agreed to increase the amount of cocoa exported through the port in return for a rebate on port charges of up to 6.5%.
