New equipment for Carfos

Carfos, the mineral bulks terminal run by Belgium-based stevedoring and logistics group Sea-Invest in Fos-sur-Mer, has ordered a second new crane, understood to be a Liebherr rail-portal slewing jib (LPS) crane, with a grab curve of 50t. The cranes will support a biomass (wood pellet) handling and supply contract Carfos was awarded last year by E.ON for its coalfired power plant at Gardanne (Bouches-du-Rhône).
