Australian terminals look to grow

DBCT Holdings Pty Ltd, the company that oversees the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT) on behalf of Queensland State Government, has approved the Master Plan for the 3-stage development of the terminal. The decision came as record throughput was announced for DBCT, which shipped 50.53 mt of coal in AFY04/05, against 43.60 mt in the previous AFY. This is the largest annual increase in throughput in the terminal’s history.
