Coal cargo hazards: Mitigating risks for safe transport
NewsCoal cargoes may release toxic gases, including carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and nitrogen oxides (NOx), which are harmful to human health.

While this could be viewed as a minor growth, it is good news for the port at a time when others in the Hamburg-Le Havre range are reporting a fall in volume throughput due to the recession.
