VTG expands US rail wagon fleet

VTG Aktiengesellschaft, a leading wagon hire and rail logistics specialist in Europe, experienced growth in all three of its divisions in H1 2015.

One of Europe’s leading railcar leasing and rail logistics companies VTG Aktiengesellschaft has further expanded its US wagon fleet. The company has added some 350 jumbo covered hoppers for dried distillers’ grains (DDG), acquired by its US subsidiary VTG Rail. The wagons have an average age of six years.

VTG Rail, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Hamburg, Germany-based railcar leasing and rail logistics company VTG Aktiengesellschaft, has taken over the business activities of SC Rail Leasing America (SCRL), a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation of America.
