The company has added some 350 jumbo covered hoppers for dried distillers’ grains (DDG), acquired by its US subsidiary VTG Rail. The wagons have an average age of six years.

VTG Rail, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Hamburg, Germany-based railcar leasing and rail logistics company VTG Aktiengesellschaft, has taken over the business activities of SC Rail Leasing America (SCRL), a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation of America.
