Latvia lures Asian investments

Latvia’s Freeport of Riga has enlisted Chinese investors’ support for the development of its harbour facilities on Krievu Sala, an island in the delta of the Daugava River. Beijing will invest up to €100M in the next two years in the construction of new dry bulk (mainly coal) terminals by local operators Riga Coal Terminal (RCT) and Strek.
